José Davila presents El pasado nunca es el mismo, a site-specific exhibition curated by Dakin Hart, on show at Casa Wabi in Oaxaca, Mexico. On the occasion of the exhibition, Dávila has developed works using nothing more than waste from construction sites collected throughout Puerto Escondido, seeking to realize an idea of paying homage to the past and inhabiting history very differently from the way monuments traditionally commemorate people and events.
