Galeria Nara Roesler opens its 2012 exhibition season with Voar, a solo exhibition by Brígida Baltar. The carioca artist will showcase her ongoing research developed during her solo show at Oi Futuro, in Rio de Janeiro in 2011 with works that suggest suspensions, falls, and vertigo, exploring the themes of theatricality.

Voar is Brigida Baltar's third solo show in Galeria Nara Roesler. During recent years, the artist has produced exhibitions in cities like Santa Barbara, Tokyo, Fortaleza, Florianopolis, Buenos Aires, besides participating in important group shows such as The Peripatetic School, Drawing Room/London and MIMA, Middlesbrough Institute Of Modern Art (2011) and many biennials such as the I Biennial of the Americas, in Denver/EUA (2010), Bienal Internacional de São Paulo (2002), Bienal de Havana (1994). Her works can be found in public collections such as MOCA Cleveland (EUA); Coleccíon Copel, CIAC (México); MAC-USP, Museu de Arte Contemporânea USP (São Paulo); Itaú Cultural (São Paulo); Fundação Joaquim Nabuco (Recife); and Coleção Gilberto Chateaubriand, Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro.
