O Grivo and Alberto Baraya participate of the show ‘Experimental station. Art practice or impossible science’. The exhibition focuses precisely on this space of the imaginary. It does not aspire to an exhaustive analysis of the whole of science, nor its current achievements, aspirations and frustrations. In this regard, it is not a predictable exhibition on the relationship between art and science. On the other hand, it shifts its attention towards the implausible or, at the very least, the improbable. It explores the crossroads and overlaps of art and impossible science. It also eschews any identification between science and technological sophistication and, in fact, almost everything in the exhibition borders on DIY. The curators, Virginia Torrente and Andrés Mengs, have divested themselves of all ingenuous notions, sidestepping a facile illustrative translation of the concerns of science to art.
